MR. AKINLOLU AKINWUNMI

Mr Akinlolu Akinwunmi is the Chairman; Board of Directors and Member; Board of Trustees. Mr Akinlolu graduated from the University of Lagos in 1980, and attended a Masters Class at the School of Media and Communications, Pan-Atlantic University in 2017. He began his career in 1982 with Lintas where he cut an edge for advertising and creative arts, after which he proceeded to work at Promoserve Grey as the Executive Director, Clients Service & Media. He is currently the Group CEO of Prima Garnet Africa, A communications company which he founded in 1992 and successfully transitioned from a conglomerate, overseeing a group of companies; Prima Garnet Communications, 141 Worldwide, MediaShare, Cutler Ogilvy PR, Lampost Experientials, etc. He is a seasoned professional in the advertising industry endearing his company to national and multinational clientele like Unilever, Coca Cola, Nestle, Motorola, GSK, First Bank, Airtel, KLM, South African Breweries, Guinness, Mnet/MultiChoice, Shell, etc. In 2009 he was appointed by the then Honourable Minister of Information & Communications, Prof. Dora Akunyili as Pioneer CEO, Nigerian Rebranding Project Business Support Group (RPBSG) – Office of the Federal Minister of Information & Telecommunications. He is a Fellow of APCON and the Nigerian Marketing Institute and a past President of the Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN) 2007 – 2009. He was also appointed by President Jonathan on the 27th of September 2010 as the Chairman of the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria, APCON, the Parastatal under the Ministry of Information, charged with the responsibility of supervising and managing the advertising practice in Nigeria in all its ramifications. As stated by his Prima Garnet Team “He possesses one of the most astute minds in marketing communications. In 2006 he was voted by the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria as the best advertising practitioner of the year. He currently serves as an Executive Chairman/Publisher at The Lolu Akinwunmi Observatory and he is a member of the Board of Directors of our organization Centre for Integrated Health Programs. He also serves as an advisory Board Member of Redwood Academy Lagos.
In his free time, he enjoys reading, music, amateur photography, and travelling. He is married to Josephine, a lawyer, and blessed with two boys, Tosin and Seni.

Dr. (Mrs.) Oluwatosin Abimbola Dokpesi

Dr. (Mrs.) Oluwatosin Abimbola Dokpesi is a Member; Board of Directors and Member, Board of Trustees.

She is a seasoned broadcaster and broadcast administrator with a distinguished career of close to 3 decades. She holds a BSc. degree in Zoology and a PGD in Mass Communication from the University of Lagos. She holds a Diploma in management from ITPAN and a Diploma in Television Broadcasting from the United States Telecommunication Training Institute (USTTI), USA. A philanthropist of note, Oluwatosin has supported and empowered women to establish small businesses, sponsored and encouraged girl child education.

She is a recipient of an Honorary Doctorate of Philosophy in Public Communications from the Wisconsin University USA for her exceptional contributions to the broadcast industry, the Citizens Image Special Recognition Award as the Great Woman of the 21st Century in Broadcasting in Nigeria and many more.

She is a fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Management, Fellow, the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, member Nigerian Union of Journalists, Nigerian Institute of Public Relations and Advertising Practitioners€™ Council of Nigeria.

MR. EMMANUEL ENEH

Mr. Emmanuel Eneh, MBA, is a Member, Board of Directors and Member, Board of Trustees. Emmanuel has more than 25 years’ experience in Information Technology and e-payment solutions with emphasis on solutions for the financial services industry. He has an established track record in software sales management, project management, e-payment solutions, deployment of technology, planning & strategy, service management, and operations. Prior to becoming CEO at SEAICO Technologies, Emmanuel was West Africa Regional Director for UK-based Neptune Software and has held senior management positions at British American Tobacco (BAT), ValuCard Nigeria Plc and Computer Warehouse Group (CWG) where he was General Manager at ExpertEdge Software (Software arm of CWG). Emmanuel is an alumnus of Lagos Business School and holds a masters degree in Computer Science and MBA in Technology Management.

PROF. AYODELE ATSENUWA

Professor Ayodele Atsenuwa is a Member, Board of Directors. She holds the LL.M. degree in Law and Development from University of Warwick and another LL.M. degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice from University of London. She is a Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. Her work experience spans research and teaching at the university level, programming for human rights and development as well as NGO management. A Professor of Law at the University of Lagos, her fields of research and teaching interest are Human Rights, Criminal Justice, Gender Studies and Health Law. A strong advocate of law reform for development, she has consulted for the federal and state governments as well as various international and national organizations including UNDP, UNIFEM (now UNWomen), UNODC, UNOHCHR Ford Foundation, DFID, USAID and CIDA on projects aimed at promote human rights including gender rights and development. In addition to her academic teaching and research, Professor Atsenuwa has numerous international and international publications to her credit and is much sought after as professional enhancement and capacity development trainer.

He is a former Chief Medical Director of University of Benin Teaching Hospital and globally recognized for his commitment, diligence to duty and transparency. He is a Distinguished Service Award recipient and has received numerous awards from national and international institutions.

Praise Izinyon

Praise Izinyon is a Member, Board of Directors. She is a Public Health Consultant with a Masters of Public Health (Global Health) at Imperial College London, England, she also has a BSc Hons in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Surrey, England. Her YouTube channel, the Core Network, focuses on health equity for all people, it provides information, education, food for thought and ways to get involved in issues that plague us, in a humane and simplified way. She presented a short TV segment of health tips and public health information on Life Tonic which aired every Saturday and Sunday on the Nigerian Television Authority, from October 2018 to Feb 2019.  In January 2018, she served as an intern at the Center for Integrated Health Programs (CIHP), where she was involved with several units like prevention services, Central Quality and Innovations Management and the Grants Department. In 2017 she was a Team Leader (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) Raleigh International, Tanzania where she coached, trained and provided pastoral support to 2 cross-cultural teams of 13-14 volunteers (aged 17-26 years). She is currently the President/CEO of the Alex and Grace Izinyon Foundation where she has overseen the whole start up and working on its expansion. She is also responsible for the incorporation of policies and the running of the day to day operations of the foundation.

PROF ADESEGUN FATUSI

Professor Adesegun Fatusi, MBChB, MPH, FWACP, is a Member, Board of Directors. He is a public health physician and a Professor of Community Health at the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, Nigeria as well as Honorary Consultant Community Health Physician at the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex (OAUTHC) Ile-Ife, Nigeria. He is a seasoned researcher with over 100 peer-reviewed and technical publications. He previously served as a Reproductive Health Advisor for the UNFPA programme in Nigeria (1996-2001) and has served as a consultant to several other development organizations, including the World Health Organization (WHO), United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS), World Bank, USAID-funded programs and DFID- funded projects. His areas of interest are; Sexual, Reproductive, Maternal and Adolescent Health 9including HIV and AIDS), Public Health Leadership and Policy Development and Strategic Planning and Programme Management. 

Dr. (Mrs.) Oluwatoyin Smith

Dr. (Mrs.) Oluwatoyin Smith is a Member, Board of Directors. She has 30+ years of experience providing subject matter leadership to support strategic policy decisions for national and sub-national governments, She has a Masters Degree (MPH) from the University of Lagos and a Bachelors degree (MB; BS) from the College of Medicine, University of Lagos, Nigeria.  In 2010 to 2011 she was the Head of Clinical Services (Abuja) at the National Blood Transfusion Service, thereafter she became the National Coordinator from 2012 to 2020, in that time, she facilitated the implementation of various programs targeted at increasing the availability of safe blood services in hard-to-reach communities in Nigeria, including those affected by the insurgency as well as vulnerable and displaced persons. She also took charge of the distribution of screened/safe blood units to victims of bomb blasts (bomb attack at the UN Embassy in 2012), attacks of insurgency at troubled spots in Abuja, Jos, Plateau State; Kano, Kaduna, including the camps of internally displaced persons in Maiduguri, Borno State, she was also the Principal Investigator in charge of managing the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) PEPFAR Grant Principal through a Cooperative Agreement with the Federal Government of Nigeria for Improving the availability of Safe Blood Services in Nigeria from 2012 to 2015.  From 2006 to 2008 she served as the Chief Medical Officer/WAHO Liason Officer at the Federal Ministry of Health, Nigeria, and in 2001 to 2005 she was the Principal Medical Officer at the Federal Staff Clinic Hospital services department, Nigeria.  She has served as a Board member of Jos University Teaching Hospital, Jos, Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Lagos, Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital, Lagos, Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital, Kaduna. Currently, She serves as a Public Health Specialist and Chief Executive Officer at Toreset Medical Advisory Limited where she serves as a Health Adviser, Project Manager, and works to collaborate and build strategic partnerships with a diverse set of stakeholders such as national government agencies, non-government organizations, private sector organizations, local communities, and academic institutions.

DR. AUSTIN OSEMEKA

Dr. Austin Osemeka is a Member, Board of Directors. He is a gastroenterologist in Gastonia, North Carolina and is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including CaroMont Regional Medical Center, Gaston Memorial hospital and Carolinas Medical Center. He received his medical degree from the University of Ibadan in 1986 and proceeded for his Postgraduate training at Eko hospitals Lagos, Nigeria. He has gained experience in Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology. He specializes in ERCP (Diagnostic and therapeutic), Esophagogastroduodenoscopy, Colonoscopy and Polypectomy, Esophageal Dilation, Percutaneous Endoscopic Feeding Gastrostomy. He is one of 6 doctors at CaroMont Regional Medical Center and also at Carolinas Medical Center who specialize in Gastroenterology. He earned several certificates and awards which includes ECFMG 1990, FLEX Examination, Pennsylvania 1992, Board certification in Gastroenterology in 1998 and got recertified in 2011. He won the Department of Anesthesia outstanding performance award, University of Ibadan Nigeria 1985. He was Chief of Staff, Kings Mountain Hospital, North Carolina in 2009 and 2012 and is currently the Chief of Endoscopy, Kings Mountain Hospital, North Carolina. He is the Chief Medical Director and owner of Greater Gaston Endoscopy center, Gastonia, North Carolina. He is the Chairman of the Association of Nigerian Physicians in Americas (ANPA) Hepatitis B program from 2013 till date, a member of the Association of Nigerian Physicians in Americas (ANPA) Board of Directors from 2009 till date and President Ibadan college of Medicine alumni association North America (ICOMAA NA) from 2017 till date.

Mr. Olumide Soyombo

Mr.Olumide Soyombo is a Member, Board of Directors. Olumide Soyombo holds a BSc in Systems Engineering from University of Lagos, Nigeria and an MSc in Business and Information Technology from the Aston Business School, Birmingham, England. He is an astute Business Information and Data Professional with a demonstrated results history of working in the Information Technology and Services Industry. Skilled in Data Privacy, Requirements Analysis, Software Licensing, Databases, and PL/SQL. He has managed projects from a wide range of industries and have a vast experience in the ERP and Business Intelligence. He co–founded Bluechip Technologies Ltd in 2008 and has grown the organization from an organization with two employees to an organization with over 80 consultants spread across Lagos, Accra and Lusaka, Zambia.

DR. COLLINS IMARHIAGBE

Dr. Collins Imarhiagbe is the Director and Head of the Strategic Information Management Unit of the Center for Integrated Health Program (CIHP). As the lead for Strategic Information Management of CIHP, he provides leadership for almost 40 strategic information staff in its four supported states, providing technical assistance for development and implementation of a robust strategic information system for over 250 entities, providing HIV prevention, care, and treatment programs to over 140,000 clients. Collins is a statistician and management professional and has extensive experience in monitoring and evaluation, health information systems design and management, quality improvement, implementation research and surveillance in the field of sexual and reproductive health, family planning, HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment, women’s health and youth empowerment. He is a key member of the monitoring and evaluation, and quality improvement bodies in Nigeria including the National Strategic Knowledge Management Technical Working Group, and the National Quality Improvement Task Team (NQITT).

DR. MAME AWA TOURE

Dr. Mame Awa Toure is a Member, Board of Directors and Member, Board of Trustees. She is ICAP’s country director in Sierra Leone. She has over 20 years of experience in public health programming in resource-limited settings. Dr. Toure specializes in disease program management and the implementation of large, integrated health service delivery programs focused on HIV prevention, care, and treatment; TB/HIV treatment and prevention; cervical cancer prevention; maternal and child health; and health system strengthening.

Prior to joining ICAP, Dr. Toure worked as the country director for Jhpiego in Côte d’Ivoire, where she coordinated technical assistance programs focused on the development and implementation of integrated, comprehensive chronic care models for HIV, TB, and non-communicable diseases. She is fluent in English and French and holds a Master of Science degree in Epidemiology.

DR. BOLANLE OYELEDUN

Dr. Bolanle Oyeledun is a Member, Board of Directors and Member, Board of Trustees. She is the Chief Executive Officer and Member, Board of Trustees at the Centre for Integrated Health Programs, a position she has held from September 2013 till date. She received her Master’s in Public Health Degree from the University of Lagos in 1995. Prior to this she received her MBBS from the University of Ibadan in 1987. She holds a certificate in Health Management from the Harvard school of Public Health as well as a Master’s of Science Degree in Community Health and Health Management from Heidelberg University, Germany. An associate fellow of the National Post Graduate Medical College (Public Health), Nigeria (equivalent to MRCP UK), she was also a Gates-Packard visiting fellow on the Population Leadership Program of the University of Washington Seattle, USA. (2001-2002). She worked with the Johns Hopkins University/Center for Communications Programs (JHU/CCP) Nigeria between 2000 and 2005, where she rose to become the deputy country director.  In 2005, she became an Associate Research Scientist at the Columbia University, International Center for AIDS Care and Treatment Programs (ICAP New York where she worked on PMTCT programs in Swaziland and Lesotho.  She later became the Country Director for ICAP Nigeria from 2006 to 2011 where she was seconded to head the new local NGO, Center for Integrated Health Programs (CIHP). Since then, she has gone ahead to lead CIHP to win grants on The Global Fund to Fight AIDS Tuberculosis and Malaria WHO/CIDA/INSPIRE: Lafiyan Jakin Mata WHO/CIDA funded 3 country implementation science research Project, The PEPFAR/CDC funded “Strengthening Skills and Competencies of Care Providers for Enhanced Service Delivery (Scope) Project” Project, The Bridging the Gaps and Enhancing Sustainability through Policy Advocacy and Leveraging Resources to Undeserved States (BRIDGES & BRIDGES PLUS) Projects,  the “Partnering Effectively to End AIDs Through Result and Learning” (PEARL) Project and The MTN Foundation (YDDMIS) Yellow Doctors Mobile Medical Clinic Scheme amongst others. She was the first ever female chairperson of the Technical Review Panel (TRP) of the Global Fund to fight AIDS, TB and Malaria (GFATM) Geneva, Switzerland: 2008 to 2011 where she led the TRP reforms. She also chaired the Independent Review Committee of the Gavi Alliance from 2014 to 2018. She continues to demonstrate excellent leadership in Public Health and in HIV/AIDS activities with an experience of working with Governments across Sub –Saharan Africa, specialized foundations (GAVI Alliance, The Global Fund for AIDS Treatment and Malaria), U.N agencies in particular UNAIDS, WHO, UNFPA and UNICEF as well as international and local non-government organizations. She has over twenty (20) scientific papers and articles in scientific journals and books and has experience working across over thirteen countries in Sub-Saharan Africa and Asia. In 2018, she also started “Candid conversations with Bola O”, a face to face dialogue to encourage women (and men!) to come together and share experiences on issues that are not often talked about in the Nigerian society.
