Corporate Social Responsibility

At CIHP, we believe that a woman’s location should never determine the quality or availability of her healthcare. That belief and a commitment to health equity formed the foundation of our recent partnership with Stanbic IBTC Holdings through the Blue Women Network. Together, we launched a series of free breast and cervical cancer screening outreaches in Lagos, Gombe, Jigawa, Kogi, and Kaduna States, reaching women in underserved communities between 2022 and 2023. The outreach has reached over 329 women across these five states with vital cancer screening and referrals. Beneficiaries received health education, clinical screening for breast and cervical abnormalities, and appropriate referral or treatment based on findings. In Kaduna and Jigawa alone, 182 women were screened in 2023, surpassing screening targets by over 150%. Those requiring further attention were referred for immediate care. This initiative not only promoted early cancer detection but also strengthened community trust, empowered local health systems, and reaffirmed our dedication to building healthier futures one community at a time.

For Mothers and Baby outreach Kuchigoro

CIHP, in partnership with the French Embassy in Nigeria, took free healthcare to the women and children of Kuchigoro community in Abuja, delivering more than just medical services.
The outreach reached over 500 women and children, with essential care, including malaria and anemia screenings, medical consultations, and free medications.

Beyond the health outreach, we created an experience filled with learning and joy, health education sessions, quizzes, face painting, a bouncing castle, and even a dancing competition kept spirits high and the kids happy while families waited. Young women in the community were also given a platform to showcase their small businesses.

This initiative is one of many steps toward better health outcomes in communities and a reflection of our ongoing commitment to reaching underserved communities.

CIHP’S ADOLESCENT AND YOUNG PEOPLE’S PROGRAM

The Adolescent and Young People’s (AYP) Program under CIHP is a strategic initiative aimed at empowering vulnerable adolescents and young people through life-changing, youth-centered interventions. The program is implemented through two main platforms: the Coolgirls Mobile App and Adolescent and Young People’s (AYP) Hubs.
The Coolgirls Mobile App is a digital safe space created specifically for Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW) aged 15–24. The app provides access to relatable, age-appropriate content on sexual and reproductive health, HIV prevention, mental health, sexual violence, and mentorship. It offers interactive features such as live radio, real-time chats, quizzes, peer forums, and mentorship sessions. With periodic physical meetups and hangouts, the app fosters community, builds confidence, and equips young women with the knowledge to make informed, empowered decisions about their lives.
AYP Hubs, on the other hand, are physical safe spaces located across communities in Lagos (Mushin, Ikeja, and Ikoyi). These youth-friendly centers offer STEM and vocational skills training to both male and female adolescents, especially those facing social or economic barriers. The hubs promote a stigma-free environment where young people can access free training in coding, digital marketing, tailoring, and other practical skills. In addition to technical training, beneficiaries also receive life skills coaching, financial literacy, mental health support, and health education to support their overall development.
