The National Aligned HIV/AIDS Initiative [NAHI] Project (2021-2023) is a Global Fund (GF) investment implemented across twenty (20) States through Family Health International (FHI360), the GF Principal Recipient, in Nigeria.

It involves the provision of a single or combination of programs inclusive of antiretroviral therapy (ART) services, ‘Key Population’ (KP) programming, Adolescent and Young Women (AGYW) programs, and gap filling for harm reduction, in each of the implementation states.

The Harm Reduction Intervention for People Who Inject Drugs (PWID) program  is implemented in seven (7) Nigerian states, of which four (4); Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Rivers and Lagos, are PEPFAR supported states with harm reduction services embedded in already existing KP program for PWID as gap filling.

Centre for Integrated Health Programs (CIHP), is the lead US Government implementing partner, through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)  for the five (5) year (2022-2027) PEPFAR grant in Lagos.

As Sub-Recipient to FHI 360 on the Global Fund NAHI grant, CIHP implements the Harm Reduction Intervention for People Who Inject Drugs (PWID) program in nine (9) of the twenty (20) Local Government Areas; Ikeja, Mushin, Ifako-Ijaye, Oshodi-Isolo, Alimosho, Amuwo, Epe, Eti-Osa and Ibeju-Lekki,  in Lagos State.
